Rosewood AMAALA has officially opened at Triple Bay on the northwestern Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia. Red Sea Global (RSG) announced the opening of the resort on August 18, 2026. This launch represents a significant step in the developer’s strategy to establish the area as a major destination for tourism.
Design and Accommodation at Rosewood AMAALA
The low-density resort spans approximately 40 hectares of land. Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel designed the project to blend contemporary Arabian architecture with the natural environment of Tabuk. Consequently, the resort features 110 keys arranged in green sanctuaries. These accommodations include pavilions, suites, and villas equipped with private swimming pools. Additionally, guests can access multiple shared pools and two natural rock pools located along the coast.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, stated that the resort strengthens the destination’s position in wellness tourism by combining personalized experiences with luxury hospitality.
Wellness and Recreation Facilities
The resort features the Asaya spa, which covers 2,100 square meters of space. Specifically, this facility includes six treatment rooms, a double suite, and a private hammam. It also offers separate wet areas for men and women with saunas and steam rooms. Meanwhile, guests can use two fitness centers equipped with Technogym Artis, including a dedicated facility for women. The spa also houses the Social House, a private day spa designed for group bookings. For families, the resort provides the Rosewood Explorers kids’ club alongside dedicated children’s recreational facilities.
Culinary and Residential Offerings
Visitors can choose from eight distinct culinary experiences across the property. These options range from casual Mediterranean dining and modern grills to lounges and poolside bars. In addition to hotel rooms, the development includes Rosewood Residences AMAALA, which complements the main Rosewood AMAALA resort. This section comprises 26 branded residences designed by Tristan Auer. These private villas offer three- to five-bedroom layouts for long-term stays.
Red Sea Global is a vertically integrated real estate developer owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. The company’s portfolio includes the regenerative tourism destinations of The Red Sea and AMAALA. The Red Sea began welcoming guests in 2023, while AMAALA welcomed its first guests in 2026. The developer also completed upgrades at AlWajh International Airport in May 2026.
Environmental and Sustainability Goals
The entire resort operates on solar energy to minimize its environmental impact. Furthermore, the development aims to achieve a 30% net conservation gain by the year 2040. This opening marks the third resort to launch at Triple Bay. In the coming months, five additional resorts will join the local hospitality portfolio. The completed destination will eventually feature a marina, curated retail spaces, and the Corallium Marine Life Institute.
