The Saudi Toyota Hill Climb returns to Al Shafa in Taif for the 2026 season, featuring competitive mountain courses at Al Mohammadiyah Hill. This event continues the development of local motorsport, which originally launched in the Kingdom in 2017. The competition operates under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF).

Bakhashab Motorsport manages the event, with Jameel Motorsport serving as the official partner. Brandship joins the initiative as the strategic partner for the 2026 season. This collaboration supports the growth of the local automotive sports sector.

Schedule of the Saudi Toyota Hill Climb

The Saudi Toyota Hill Climb consists of three distinct rounds scheduled throughout July. The opening round takes place from July 2 to July 4, 2026. Meanwhile, the second round is scheduled for July 17 and 18, 2026.

The third and final round will run from July 31 to August 1, 2026. These rounds aim to attract top drivers competing in speed and precision. The event also promotes local tourism in the mountainous Al Shafa region.

Technical Specifications of the Taif Course

The Al Mohammadiyah Hill course extends over 4.2 kilometers. It starts at an elevation of approximately 1,900 meters above sea level and finishes at 2,150 meters. Consequently, the significant elevation changes and successive corners require high vehicle control.

Historical Growth and Past Champions

The competition first began in 2017 in Bani Hassan, Al Baha Region. It later joined the national championship calendar in 2022. Participation has grown from 18 drivers in 2017 to over 190 drivers in the 2025 edition. This expansion reflects the broader growth of the sports economy in Saudi Arabia.
