The SOUEAST S08 DM made its official Saudi debut in March 2026, as Motion Motors hosted a launch ceremony at Park Hyatt Jeddah. The event coincided with the signing of authorized dealer agreements, marking a formal expansion of the Chinese brand’s distribution network in Western Saudi Arabia.
The ceremony drew strategic partners, international brand representatives, business leaders, and media professionals. Motion Motors serves as the authorized dealer of SOUEAST in the Western region of the Kingdom.
Dealer Network Expansion Across the Kingdom
During the event, the company formally announced its official dealer network across Saudi Arabia. The move targets broader brand coverage in line with the growth of the Kingdom’s automotive sector.
Muntaser Abu Al Hasan, Automotive General Manager of Motion Motors, said the dealership agreement in the Western region represents a new phase in the company’s journey. He added that the step reflects mutual trust between the company and its customers and forms part of a strategy to build a distribution network that meets quality and after-sales service standards.

SOUEAST S08 DM Hybrid System and Performance Specs
The SOUEAST S08 DM runs on a hybrid system designated 1.5TD-1DHT. The system pairs a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 140 horsepower and 215 Nm of torque with an electric motor. The combined output reaches 150 kW, approximately 200 horsepower, with peak torque of 310 Nm.
Abu Al Hasan said the configuration delivers smooth responsiveness, balanced acceleration, and fuel efficiency. He described the model as a step forward in the brand’s shift toward hybrid mobility.
Battery Capacity, Charging Times, and Electric Range
The vehicle carries an 18.4 kWh battery supplied by CATL, enabling a pure electric driving range of up to 89 kilometers. Slow charging from 20% to 100% takes approximately 2.6 hours, while fast charging from 30% to 80% requires around 20 minutes.
The 70-liter fuel tank extends the total driving range when combining gasoline and electric power, making the model a practical option for daily urban commuting as well as longer trips.
Interior Space and Family-Oriented Design
The S08 DM is built on a 2,820 mm wheelbase and offers a seven-seat cabin configuration. The layout targets larger families and multi-purpose use cases within the Saudi market.
Abu Al Hasan stated that customer satisfaction remains a priority for the company, supported by integrated service centers, competitive warranty packages, and spare parts availability. He said these elements are designed to strengthen consumer confidence in the brand.

The launch event concluded with a guided showcase of the model’s technical and design features. Motion Motors positioned the expansion as part of a broader strategy to introduce modern mobility solutions aligned with Saudi Arabia’s economic transformation goals.
