Fitness with Spotify has launched in the United Arab Emirates, expanding the platform beyond music and podcasts into the fitness category. Spotify introduced guided workout experiences with curated playlists and content from established wellness creators including Yoga With Kassandra, Caitlin K’eli Yoga, Sweaty Studio, Chloe Ting, Pilates Body By Raven, Abi Mills Wellness, and Sophiereidfit.

Free and Premium users gain access to dozens of curated fitness playlists immediately. Premium Platinum subscribers in supported markets will access a growing catalog of more than 1,400 on-demand classes through a new partnership with Peloton. These classes cover strength, cardio, yoga, and meditation with no specialized equipment required.

How Fitness with Spotify Works

Users can search “fitness” within the Spotify app on mobile, desktop, or TV devices to access the fitness hub. The content integrates seamlessly across multiple devices. Workouts are available primarily in English, with select options in Spanish and German. Classes can be downloaded for offline access, enabling users to work out without internet connectivity.

The feature allows users to transition between video workouts on a TV, audio sessions on a phone, and guided recovery on a smart speaker without switching applications. This cross-device approach eliminates friction and maintains a continuous experience throughout the user’s day.

Market Demand and User Behavior

More than 150 million fitness playlists are active globally, according to the company. Nearly 70 percent of Premium users work out monthly. Spotify states that fitness and workout content ranks among the top use cases for its Prompted Playlists feature, indicating sustained user demand in the category.

Roman Wasenmüller, VP and Global Head of Podcasts at Spotify, stated that “for nearly two decades, Spotify has been the soundtrack to the world’s workouts.” He added that the expansion positions Spotify as a daily wellness companion, bringing creators and partners directly into the audio and video ecosystem.

Peloton Partnership Details

The Fitness with Spotify offering integrates content from Peloton instructors such as Rebecca Kennedy, Ally Love, and Rad Lopez. Premium Platinum users in supported markets receive access to these classes as part of their existing subscription at no additional cost. The catalog continues to grow with new classes added regularly.

The partnership extends Spotify’s reach into wellness and fitness verticals while providing Peloton with distribution through one of the world’s largest music and audio streaming platforms.

Future of Fitness on the Platform

Spotify indicated this launch represents an initial phase of fitness content expansion. The company plans to continue adding creators and expanding the range of available experiences. This move reflects broader platform strategy to integrate multiple content categories including music, podcasts, audiobooks, and video into a single ecosystem.

The fitness category launch demonstrates how streaming services are diversifying beyond their core offerings. By integrating health and wellness features alongside entertainment content, Spotify positions itself as a comprehensive daily platform for users across multiple use cases.
