The Super Hybrid System developed by OMODA & JAECOO has been introduced to the UAE market to address driving demands during high summer temperatures. This technology combines power management with fuel efficiency to support long-distance travel across the Emirates.
Technical Specifications of the Super Hybrid System
The JAECOO J7 vehicle utilizes this hybrid setup, which features a fifth-generation engine with a thermal efficiency of 44.5%. In addition, the vehicle uses a dedicated hybrid transmission that reaches a transmission efficiency of up to 98.5%. The system automatically switches between electric power and petrol to reduce fuel consumption during urban driving.
According to official specifications, the vehicle has a combined fuel consumption rate of 6 liters per 100 kilometers. It offers a total driving range of up to 1200 kilometers when both the fuel tank and battery are fully charged. Because it is a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), it does not require external charging infrastructure, which avoids charging efficiency issues in extreme heat.
Power and Performance Metrics
The combined output of the engine and electric motor delivers up to 328 horsepower and 515Nm of torque. This configuration supports acceleration and highway cruising under local weather conditions. The manufacturer stated that the technology is designed to maintain air conditioning performance without increasing fuel consumption.
Community Engagement and Future Technologies
The automotive brand recently hosted a community drive at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The event, titled “One Community. One Passion. One Drive.”, attracted more than 350 participants, including 150 vehicle owners. The gathering concluded with a football watch party, linking mobility with lifestyle activities.
In addition to vehicle technology, the company is developing its AiMOGA humanoid robotics programme. This initiative uses artificial intelligence to assist customers through multilingual communication in retail and hospitality environments. The company is also preparing to introduce Valet Parking Driving (VPD), also known as Super Intelligent Parking (SIVP), to the UAE market.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
The VPD system operates as a Level 2 smart devices integration. It helps drivers locate parking spaces and assists with parking maneuvers. The company stated that this feature aims to reduce the time drivers spend searching for parking in outdoor temperatures during the summer months.
As the brand expands its operations in the UAE, the Super Hybrid System represents its approach to regional driving conditions. The integration of fuel efficiency, driver assistance, and future robotics indicates the company’s long-term strategy in the Middle Eastern automotive sector.
