The VinFast VF 8 electric SUV has completed extensive real-world testing across diverse terrains, including high-altitude routes in Tibet and high-temperature environments in the Middle East.
This testing program spans thousands of kilometers across Vietnam, North America, Europe, and regional markets to verify vehicle durability.
Testing the VinFast VF 8
Designed in collaboration with Pininfarina, the vehicle is positioned in the D-segment market. The Eco variant offers a range of up to 493 kilometers under the NEDC standard. Meanwhile, the Plus variant delivers 402 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque through an all-wheel-drive system. These specifications are intended to support family mobility across different driving conditions.
Technical Specifications and Performance
A recent report by EY highlights that modern automotive buyers increasingly prioritize convenience, transparency, and digital service experiences. Consequently, automakers must focus on expanding service networks, improving parts availability, and strengthening digital customer engagement.
Global Aftersales and Middle East Partnerships
To address these priorities, the manufacturer announced agreements with 29 international aftersales partners across multiple regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia. This global network is projected to exceed 1,100 service workshops in 2026. Specifically, these facilities will operate with standardized technician training and quality control systems to maintain service consistency.
In the Middle East, the company is working with Al Tayer Motors to support the VinFast VF 8 launch and establish consistent service standards. Furthermore, a localized supply chain system aims to deliver commonly required spare parts within 24 hours in key markets. This initiative directly addresses the need to reduce vehicle downtime for owners.
Digital Connectivity and Warranty Terms
Owners can access vehicle health information and remote controls through the VF Connect digital platform. This system also supports roadside assistance, self-diagnostics, and over-the-air software updates. Consequently, these connected features allow drivers to manage their vehicles directly through mobile applications.
Regional buyers of the VinFast VF 8 receive a 10-year or 200,000-kilometer vehicle warranty alongside a 10-year unlimited-kilometer battery warranty. Additionally, the package includes complimentary service coverage, mobile service support, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
As the transition to electric mobility accelerates, manufacturers are focusing heavily on long-term customer support. The combination of extensive physical testing and structured aftersales programs represents a shift toward comprehensive ownership services in the automotive sector.
