ZTE unveiled its new ZTE FWA lineup at MWC Barcelona 2026, integrating artificial intelligence, Wi-Fi 8, and 5G-A technologies across its fixed wireless access products. The company said the new range follows its “5G for All” dual-track strategy, targeting both high-end and emerging markets simultaneously.

ZTE FWA Lineup Strategy: High-End and Emerging Markets

In high-end markets, ZTE said it works with top-tier partners to build flagship products using 5G-A and Wi-Fi 8. In emerging markets, the company focuses on cost-effective and adaptable solutions. Moreover, the strategy aims to bridge the digital divide by extending 5G benefits to a broader global population.

GIS Product Philosophy and AI Integration

At the core of the new products is ZTE’s GIS philosophy, built on the ZTE AI FWA Solution. The framework delivers green, artificial intelligence-driven, and secure connectivity across person, vehicle, and home scenarios. ZTE said the system is designed to meet the changing demands of the AI era.

For energy efficiency, the system learns user habits to create smart power-saving strategies that reduce consumption. In addition, AI signal optimization and AI Network QoS features allow devices to adapt to real-time network conditions. Security functions include enhanced network protection and child guardianship tools to ensure a safe user experience.

Global Shipments and Market Position

ZTE said it has held the global number one position in the FWA and MBB market for five consecutive years. The company has shipped over 300 million units across more than 100 countries. Furthermore, ZTE said it continues to advance 5G-A development using smart antennas and precise signal tracking to optimize speed and coverage.

“ZTE addresses the critical needs of both operators and users by making AI the core driver of innovation.”
