ZTE GSMA Foundry Awards were claimed by ZTE and China Telecom at the 2026 GSMA Foundry ceremony held on March 1 in Barcelona, Spain, with two joint proposals earning top honors across the telecommunications industry’s most competitive recognition program.

The first proposal, “5G-Advanced Facilitates Multi-Robot Collaboration,” earned the GSMA Foundry “Enterprise Innovation & New Revenue Models” award. The second proposal, “Relieving the Pressure on Physicians,” claimed both the GSMA Foundry “Cross-Cutting Excellence” award and the GSMA Foundry Innovation GLOMO award.

ZTE GSMA Foundry Awards: The Two Winning Proposals

Both proposals were developed under ZTE and China Telecom’s joint “Connectivity + Computing” strategy. They focus on embodied intelligence and smart healthcare respectively, and represent benchmark applications of 5G-Advanced technology in industrial settings.

5G-Advanced Multi-Robot Collaboration Solution

The “5G-Advanced Facilitates Multi-Robot Collaboration” solution is built on the 5G-A EasyOn·Robot minimalist private network. It establishes integrated core capabilities combining fundamental connectivity, edge intelligence, and ecosystem collaboration to support commercial deployment of humanoid robots.

The minimalist private network delivers an uplink rate of over 100 Mbps per robot and end-to-end network latency below 10 milliseconds. Network reliability reaches 99.99%, while deployment costs are reduced by 50% compared to conventional approaches.

The solution has been showcased at multiple industry events, supporting robotics manufacturers including AGIBOT and DroidUp. Application scenarios demonstrated include multi-robot collaboration, stage performances, and retail shopping guidance. The solution targets the integration of artificial intelligence with the digital economy across multiple industries.

Smart Healthcare Solution for Physicians

The “Relieving the Pressure on Physicians” solution addresses workload challenges facing medical professionals. It advances the intelligent transformation of the health technology sector by applying 5G-Advanced capabilities to clinical environments.

This proposal earned two separate awards at the March 1 ceremony, including the GSMA Foundry Innovation GLOMO award, which is among the most recognized distinctions at Mobile World Congress. The dual recognition reflects the solution’s cross-sector applicability and commercial feasibility.

“These achievements highlight ZTE’s global leadership in 5G-A integrated industry applications, as well as its strengths in technological innovation, commercial feasibility and industrial value.”
