Private 5G deployment across North American industries is the central focus of an expanded collaboration between Ericsson and systems integrator Future Technologies Venture, the two companies said on March 11, 2026.
The partnership targets sectors including manufacturing, logistics, energy infrastructure, and transport. Moreover, both companies position enterprise wireless systems as foundational infrastructure for industrial operations driven by artificial intelligence.
The Connectivity Gap Driving Private 5G Demand
Future Technologies Venture stated that industries require “secure, resilient and deterministic connectivity” capable of supporting real-time data movement. This connectivity must link connected devices, edge computing platforms, and centralised cloud systems simultaneously.
The integrator noted that growing deployment of sensors, cameras, autonomous systems, vehicles, and mobile worker devices is creating a widening gap. Specifically, AI compute capacity is outpacing the enterprise networks designed to support it.
Roles Within the Expanded Partnership
Under the expanded agreement, Ericsson will contribute its expertise and products in enterprise wireless solutions. Future Technologies Venture will handle the integration side, covering strategy, architecture, and deployment.
The collaboration aims to help organisations deploy telecommunications networks capable of supporting the next generation of industrial operations. Furthermore, both companies said enterprise wireless WAN is increasingly being adopted to meet connectivity requirements.
