HONOR AI Connect, the company’s open artificial intelligence device ecosystem platform, took center stage at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona on March 2, as HONOR outlined its strategy to integrate more than 20,000 AI services by the end of 2026.
The announcement came during the opening ConnectAI panel session at MWC 2026. HONOR described the platform as the core engine driving its transition from a smartphone manufacturer into a global AI device ecosystem company.
HONOR AI Connect Opens Core Capabilities to Partners
The upgraded HONOR AI Connect platform makes HONOR’s core AI capabilities available to all ecosystem partners. The company said this move goes beyond simple connectivity, targeting deep shared intelligence across a wide, multi-brand device ecosystem.
The platform enables a personal AI avatar — described as a digital twin — that lives across a user’s devices. This digital twin carries user intent from a smartphone to a connected car, smart home, or service robot, enabling continuous and intelligent cross-device experiences.
Orange Partnership and New Device Categories
Fang Fei, President of Products at HONOR, joined Philippe Lucas, Executive Vice President of Partnerships and Devices at Orange, for a discussion on the convergence of AI, devices, and connectivity. The session focused on the theme of “breaking walls” in closed device ecosystems.
HONOR stated its commitment to working with partners such as Orange to expand into new device categories. These categories include education, smart homes, audio products, pet technology, and gaming.
A “Cambrian Explosion” in AI Devices
Fang Fei used an evolutionary analogy to describe the current moment in the mobile devices industry. She said the sector is approaching a “Cambrian explosion” of AI hardware, referencing the prehistoric period that produced a rapid diversification of life forms.

HONOR identified two key directions in this evolution. The first is the “disaggregation” of smart devices into specialized peripheral hardware for specific scenarios. The second is the “proliferation” of AI entry points, creating new interaction models tailored to real-world contexts.
HONOR Robot Phone and Magic V6 Unveiled
HONOR presented the Robot Phone as a leading example of its augmented human intelligence concept. The device functions as a personal cameraman, automatically tracking and recording video to allow users to participate actively in their own experiences rather than operating a camera.
On March 1, one day before the MWC panel, HONOR held a formal launch event where it unveiled the HONOR Magic V6, described as an ultra-slim AI-powered foldable smartphone. The company also introduced new generations of personal computers, tablets, and additional devices at the same event.
HONOR invited global media and MWC attendees to visit its booth in Hall 3 to experience the full range of new hardware. The company’s exhibit spans foldable phones, tablets, PCs, and the Robot Phone concept device.
