The HONOR Robot Phone took center stage at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, earning “Best in Show” recognition from multiple global institutes as HONOR CEO James Li delivered a keynote address on March 8, 2026, outlining the company’s Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) framework.
James Li addressed the MWC main stage for the first time on behalf of HONOR. “We believe the essence of AI must remain human-centric,” Li said. “Our goal is to give intelligence both IQ and EQ, the power to solve, and the soul to understand.”
HONOR Robot Phone and the AHI Vision
The HONOR Robot Phone serves as the primary demonstration of the company’s AHI framework. The device functions as an embodied AI unit capable of sensing and interacting with its physical environment. Li described it as a tool that merges AI with imaging to enable self-expression and filmmaking capabilities for general users.
According to HONOR, three forms of intelligence must work together to realize the AHI vision. Personal intelligence operates through AI agents on users’ devices. Universal intelligence aggregates global knowledge and delivers it to users. Edge intelligence, embodied in devices such as robots and electric vehicles, acts as physical extensions of the user in the real world.
Battery Technology Advances Displayed at MWC 2026
HONOR also demonstrated its latest battery technology at the event. The company presented the HONOR Silicon-carbon Blade Battery, featuring 32% silicon content and an energy density of 985 Wh/L. This follows the HONOR Magic V6, which achieved a 25% silicon content — a figure HONOR described as an industry first for foldable devices.
At MWC 2025, Global Mobile (GLOMO) awarded HONOR the “Best Disruptive Device Innovation” prize for the implementation and commercialization of silicon carbon battery technology. The new blade battery represents a further step in that development trajectory.
Products Recognized Across Multiple Categories
In addition to the HONOR Robot Phone, several other products received “Best in Show” recognition at MWC 2026. These included the HONOR Magic V6, HONOR MagicPad 4, and HONOR MagicBook Pro 14. Media and analysts cited the integration of robotics, artificial intelligence, and mobile communication technologies as key factors in the recognition.
Furthermore, Li used the keynote to issue an open call for industry collaboration. “We aspire to be a cool company, teaming up with the coolest minds. Together, for a cool future of AI,” he said. The invitation targeted partners interested in co-developing an AI device ecosystem.
HONOR’s Broader AI Device Strategy
HONOR positions itself as a global AI device ecosystem company. Its product portfolio spans AI phones, PCs, tablets, and wearables. The company’s stated objective is to connect consumers with AI capabilities across all device categories in what it describes as the agentic AI era.
