The Honor Robot Phone made its global debut at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, as the Chinese device maker also previewed its first humanoid robot in a push to embed embodied AI into consumer hardware.
Honor Robot Phone: A Motion-Enabled Smartphone
The Honor Robot Phone features a robot-grade motion control camera mounted on an articulating arm that extends from the main device body. The system responds to users through gestures, including nods and head shakes, and can track motion, identify sounds, and respond to music.
The camera integrates a stabilised gimbal system and a compact motor designed to be approximately 70 percent smaller than the market standard. This enables physical movement and real-time sensory awareness for multimodal interaction.

Built around a 200MP sensor, the camera supports all-angle AI-powered video calling that follows users through motion control in real time. It also offers intelligent object tracking and up to 180 degrees of AI-powered rotational movement for video transitions.
Honor CEO James Li described the device as a “new species of smartphone,” stating its “EQ is finally catching up with its IQ.” The company said the phone combines embodied AI interaction with robot-grade motion and imaging capabilities. The device is expected to go on sale in the second half of 2026.

Honor’s First Humanoid Robot
Honor also demonstrated its first humanoid robot on stage at the Barcelona event. The android danced, posed, and interacted with Li during the presentation. According to the company, the robot targets shopping assistance, workplace inspections, and companionship use cases.
Honor did not provide specifications, pricing, or commercial timelines for the humanoid robot. However, the company positioned the demonstration as a step into consumer-grade robotics.
Magic V6 Foldable and Expanded Device Lineup
Alongside the AI hardware showcase, Honor unveiled the Magic V6, its latest foldable flagship. The device has a folded profile of 8.75mm, making it 0.05mm slimmer than its predecessor and the thinnest foldable Honor has produced to date.
The company also introduced a new tablet and laptop, expanding its AI-powered device lineup. Honor framed the MWC 2026 announcements as a milestone in its “Augmented Human Intelligence” strategy, which aims to embed AI more deeply into hardware design.
