Infobip DevDays 2026 brought together more than 1,000 engineers from across the world as the cloud communications company marked its 20th anniversary with a renewed focus on artificial intelligence integration across all levels of its operations.
The event, held in April 2026, centered on strengthening AI competencies within the company and exploring what it means to operate as an AI-first business. Teams demonstrated how they are using AI in daily work to build more conversational, personal customer experiences.
AI as an Ongoing Process, Not a Future Goal
Infobip stated that artificial intelligence is not a future strategic goal but an ongoing process already active at all levels of the organisation. The company’s global communications platform reaches more than seven billion mobile devices globally, and AI is now built into how it develops products and goes to market.
Infobip DevDays 2026: Engineering and People
The event made clear that AI products depend on the people who build them. Infobip said investing in people, giving them the skills and knowledge to work confidently with AI, remains a core priority. The company was founded in 2006 and is led by co-founders CEO Silvio Kutić and Izabel Jelenić.
“We have always been innovators, it is part of our identity and our culture. The combination of who we are and the direction technology is evolving gives us the opportunity to move faster, build better, and continuously raise the bar. Artificial intelligence must be deeply embedded in the way we think, design, make decisions and execute. That is why we place particular focus on developing internal competencies and a deep understanding of artificial intelligence at all levels of the organisation – from engineering to business functions – in order to build a solid foundation for developing advanced AI solutions for the global market.”

AgentOS: Infobip’s AI Foundation for Customer Communications
Infobip’s AgentOS serves as its intelligent foundation for autonomous customer communications. The platform combines AI agents, people, data, and channels into a single environment, helping businesses choose the right channel, trigger the next action, and bring in a human when needed, all running on Infobip’s global infrastructure.
AgentOS reflects the company’s broader strategy of embedding AI into product design rather than treating automation as a standalone feature. The platform supports omnichannel engagement, identity verification, user authentication, and contact centre solutions.
“Being AI-first does not mean blindly automating processes, but deliberately embedding artificial intelligence into the way we design and improve our work. We are systematically reshaping our operating model: measuring where AI accelerates work, automating repetitive tasks and redirecting energy toward decisions and outcomes that AI cannot take over. Artificial intelligence brings speed, scalability and analytical power, while people retain judgement, creativity, context and trust.”

Scale and Global Reach
Infobip’s telecommunications infrastructure connects to more than 10,000 connections globally, of which over 800 are direct operator connections across 6 continents. The company said this scale gives it a distinct position to deploy AI at a level that directly affects how billions of people receive communications from businesses.
As Infobip enters its third decade, the company said its focus will remain on accelerating AI adoption across its platform and helping businesses build more connected customer experiences at scale.
