Saudi Arabia mobility leaders gathered in Riyadh on May 7, 2026, for Mobility Talks, part of Uber’s Rihla initiative designed to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 ambitions by translating national transport priorities into tangible outcomes through cross-sector collaboration.

The session brought together representatives from the Transport General Authority, the Quality of Life Program, Jameel Mobility Solutions and Services, and Uber to review progress in the Kingdom’s mobility sector and align on priorities for the next phase of development. Focus areas included readiness, innovation, and long-term sustainability.

Urban Mobility and Transport Evolution

Discussions centered on the evolution of the Kingdom’s transport system under the theme “The Next Chapter of Kingdom Mobility.” Participants examined how the system enables innovation, investment, and improved services while enhancing the experience of residents and visitors. The conversation also addressed the Kingdom’s positioning as a leading global destination for tourism and business.

Key topics included the introduction of emerging technologies such as autonomous mobility, with emphasis on phased deployment, regulatory readiness, and public trust. Speakers highlighted long-term growth enablers including infrastructure development, regulatory frameworks, and local capability building, particularly as demand increases due to major projects and events such as Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup.
