The Honda Racing Saudi Arabia (HRS) team secured multiple podium finishes during the opening rounds of the Saudi Toyota Hill Climb Championship 2026. Specifically, the team competed in Taif at the Aqabat Al-Muhammadiyah location. They fielded two vehicle models, which were the Honda Civic Type R and the Honda Civic Sport.
During the first round of the Saudi Toyota Hill Climb event, Captain Bandar Al-Sulami drove the Honda Civic Type R. He secured second place in the 4A category after a competitive performance. Meanwhile, Captain Einas Hamza competed in the 5A category driving the Honda Civic Sport, where she secured second place in her category and second place in the Women’s category.
Performance of the Honda Civic Models
The team fielded two specific models during the competition, namely the Honda Civic Type R and the Honda Civic Sport. These vehicles competed in different categories based on their specifications. Specifically, the Civic Type R was driven in the 4A category, while the Civic Sport was utilized in the 5A category. Both models demonstrated strong performance on the challenging Aqabat Al-Muhammadiyah road in Taif.

Event Schedule and Location Details
The championship rounds were held in Taif, a city known for its mountainous terrain. Specifically, the Aqabat Al-Muhammadiyah pass provided a challenging route for all competitors. The first round took place from July 2 to 4, 2026, which established the initial standings. Subsequently, the second round of the Saudi Toyota Hill Climb took place from July 16 to 18, 2026, and the team successfully maintained their competitive positions in the standings.
During this second round, Captain Bandar Al-Sulami repeated his performance to claim second place in his class. Additionally, Captain Einas Hamza secured another second-place finish in the Women’s category, confirming her position in the championship standings.
